Description
Embedded Wifi Bare-Metal Development From Ground Up™ course. This course focuses on designing and developing low-level libraries and drivers to connect microcontrollers to the Internet via Wi-Fi technology. This specialized course teaches learners how to develop the necessary software drivers and libraries to connect embedded devices to the Internet from scratch. In this educational program, the STMC microcontroller and the ESP 866 Wi-Fi chip are used. The ESP chip is a low-cost Wi-Fi module equipped with a complete network transmission and control protocol stack, and people who are not familiar with these concepts will, over time and by going through various educational stages, gain a complete understanding of the structure of network communications and how these systems operate. The educational content is divided into four main parts. The first part is dedicated to reviewing theoretical topics, basic network concepts, and the fundamental principles of the Wi-Fi protocol. In the second part, the development of board-to-board drivers for communication between the Wi-Fi chip and the microcontroller is carried out. After that, it is time to design and implement efficient data structures to manage communication information between the chip and the microcontroller. Finally, by combining the drivers and data structures built in the previous steps, a complete library for connecting to the Internet is created and used to launch a web server, web client, and perform tasks such as storing sensor data in the cloud. In addition, participants in this course are introduced to the principles of hardware and software systems engineering simultaneously. Learning how to manage buffers, process data packets, and optimize the performance of embedded systems are among the valuable skills that engineers can apply in their real-world projects. This course provides a structured path to becoming an expert in the field of wireless communications and embedded systems.
