Description
Designing Cisco Data Center Infrastructure for Traditional and AI Workloads v1.2 (DCID 300-610). This course examines how to design a modern Cisco data center infrastructure to support traditional enterprise workloads and emerging AI requirements. This course helps network architects and engineers design scalable, AI-ready data center environments while preparing for the CCNP Data Center certification. Participants will learn about current architectural frameworks for networking, compute, storage, and automation, with a specific focus on AI and machine learning workloads, Lossless Ethernet, and high-performance fabrics. Advanced topics such as RoCEv2, VXLAN EVPN, UCS X-Series, NVMe-oF, and centralized management with Cisco Intersight and Nexus Dashboard are covered in depth. Version 1.2 of this course and its associated exam reflect the evolution of artificial intelligence and machine learning in network design. In this new edition, older technologies are de-emphasized and modern platforms, cloud management tools, and scalable architectures take center stage. Although there is no formal prerequisite for the CCNP Data Center certification, a basic knowledge of CCNA is highly recommended for success. To obtain this certification, passing the core exam (350-601 DCCOR) and a specialized exam is required, and this course specifically prepares students for the DCID 300-610 focused exam. In addition, the course takes an in-depth approach to evaluating automation and orchestration processes in modern data centers. Network engineers learn how to optimize Layer 2 and Layer 3 communications in a way that maintains the highest possible infrastructure stability and efficiency. The main value of this certification in the job market is its focus on real-world engineering scenarios and assessment of designers’ ability to integrate different parts of the network, data processing, and storage, which prepares professionals to face complex organizational challenges.
